For settings and options for Internet Browsing, and especially for operating system it is very stressful, internet options are mixed up, and sometimes is very difficult to turn settings back, and to tune them up.
I’ll show you couple of tips for setting Internet Options on right track.

First Thing you should do when you finish experimenting with web browsers and start to use right web browser for you is to set that web browser for default.

To make Internet Explorer your default browser you must go to Control Panel, then click Internet Options, then find Programs tab and check in Default web browser if Internet Explorer is your default browser, if it isn’t click Make Default.

To make Mozilla Firefox your default web browser, open Mozilla Firefox, In the menu click on Tools, then Options, go to Advanced tab, and in System Defaults click Check Now to check if Firefox is or isn’t your default web browser, if isn’t will show dialog box to ask you do you want Mozilla Firefox to be your default web browser, click Yes.

And in Google Chrome , to set up Chrome to be your default browser, go to right top corner, click on Customize Google Chrome, click on it, go to Settings, and go to Default browser and click Make Google Chrome my default browser

Second thing I think is very useful is to set Internet connection, it depend on your network infrastructure, if you are in home network, or in small office, it is important to set exact internet connection.

In Internet Explorer you go Control Panel > Internet Options,  click Connections tab, then click LAN settings, and set exact situation for your network, if you are using Proxy server, or you have automatic configuration script ( for this maybe is right thing to call network or system administrator ) or set Automatically detect settings if you have that kind of firewall, in most cases you can live Automatically detect settings.

In Mozilla Firefox this setting is on Tool  > Options from main menu, then click on Advanced, in Connection section click on Settings and choose exact setting ( Auto-detect proxy, No proxy, use system Proxy or Manual Proxy configuration.

In Google Chrome , click on right side button for customize Chrome, then click on Network section click on Change proxy settings, and you will be redirect on Internet Options , from Control Panel which is Shown earlier.

Also it is useful to know how to manage with cookies ( Cookie – known as an web or browser cookie, which is usually small piece of data sent from website you are browsing and is stored in your web browser while a user is browsing some website).

This is also some of the advanced internet options setting, that you can find Here

And at last , but not least it is sometimes useful to delete all kind of data that your web browser remember ( such as cookies, Temporary internet files, History, Form Data, Passwords, In private filtering Data ). Maybe you don’t want some user whom you share Computer with , to read your browsing history, to somehow find your log in details, to see on which web sites you browse, etc.

To prevent all those data to be seen, you can take this action do delete all of those remembered temporary files, passwords and data form.

In Internet Explorer you go to Control Panel  > Internet Options, On General Tab, go to Browsing history section, click on Delete…, than choose what kind of data you want to remove and delete, and click Delete, wait for a while and you are done.

This thing you can do in Mozilla Firefox in this section: In Mozilla Firefox Menu go to Tools  > Options , then go to Privacy, set Remember Browsing history in days, check or uncheck Remember History, Click on Show Cookies, and Click either Remove cookie or Remove All cookies.

In Google Chrome you can manage this setting when you click on Customize Google Chrome, than click Settings , and manage settings on Privacy ( clear Browsing Data ), Manage Passwords and Forms ( Manage Autofill settings, Manage saved passwords ), and set it up like you wish Chrome to behave.

There is many options in web browsing Internet Optins to set, but here I mention most critical and important.

I hope that this article will help you to set up your web browser to be stabile, trusted and save.

Good luck with your internet surfing and be careful what and where you browsing, and sometimes you can go On this Place to find useful things about Computers and staff like this.
