28 Tips that will make your Operating System Windows faster and more stable (Part 1)

Windows 7 fix

Tip 6 – Install Microsoft Security Essentials

Windows 7 comes build with quite a set of security tools which include robust firewall, and tool for blocking spyware – Windows Defender. What is missing is good antivirus software which will work in the background and won’t slow down the system. Microsoft Security Essentials ( Which is included in Windows 8 ), is a tool which provide protection from viruses and malwares in real time, and do not burden the System to much. On latest parallel test this tool showed equally good like the other tools for which is annual payment is required.

Tip 7 – Aero Effect in Turbo Mode

Aero Effect is one of the most effectiveness graphical tricks in Windows 7. For does how doesn’t know, this effect make transparent all the opened windows if you position mouse over left down corner Show Desktop

Aero Effect

But display of this effect is not that fast as it should be. With simple adding of turbo option and little hacking in registry you can get instant transparency. Click on Windows Button to open Start menu, then write regedit in search field and press Enter. Go to HKEY_Current_User\Software\MIcrosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ Advanced. In right part of the screen in empty space right click with mouse and choose New, Dword [32bit] Value. In the field enter DesktopLivePreviewHoverTime. In definition Windows enter value 0, which is what we want. Restart the computer and next time when you pass with mouse over filed ShowDesktop, transparent effect will get instantly.

NOTE:

Also I must mention that if QuickTime software is running in startup processes, it can disable Aero effect on Windows 7. You should turn it off from traybar, and my suggestion is to turn it off from startup processes , run from search field msconfig, and in startup bar look for QuickTime program ( Qtime.exe or QTask.exe ) , uncheck it, and restart computer, to take effect.
