How to Install Windows 7 Ultimate Edition

In this article I will show you how to install Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, which is very same for any edition of Windows 7 ( options for installing with DVD media or USB memory stick – if you want to use USB memory stick with windows installation files and make it bootable – you can view here how to do it)

Step 1 – Preparation

- Before you purchase installation DVD for Windows 7 check hardware components of your computer to know if you can even install Windows 7 on the computer.

 These are some of the minimum hardware requirements for installing Windows 7:

- 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor ( faster is recommended )
- 1 GB RAM ( at least – more is recommended )
- 16 GB of space on the HDD
- Support for DirectX 9 if you run Aero
- Option setting in the BIOS to boot from the DVD drive or USB memory stick ( newer computer has it )
- Internet access for Windows update

Step 2 -  Setting the BIOS

First let us set the BIOS so the computer boots up with DVD-ROM ( or USB memory )
Start the computer, and after the first screen appear press DEL (delete) on the keyboard a few times, this is most used keyboard key to enter BIOS setup. Brand name computers has different key to enter BIOS ( like F2 on Dell Computers ), you should view the first screen, and you will notice which key you need to press to enter BIOS.
Find the settings area for the “Advanced BIOS Features” or something similar depending on your BIOS and set it to be the First Boot DVD ROM (CD ROM)

Bios Boot Device order

Insert the installation DVD into the DVD-ROM drive ( or USB memory if you set it up to boot from USB  ) and restart the computer. Save the changes and restart your computer.
